Are you a full time photographer and are you qualified?
Yes, photography is our full time business, we work from a professional studio in Newport, South Wales not from a bedroom or garage.
Richard has recently achieved his associateship qualification with the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP). At this standard, you can expect images that not only display a high degree of technical ability, but also portray imagination and creativity in execution and presentation. These are important factors that often go hand in hand with higher prices as this qualification is held by the top 10% of practitioners, who coincidentally are often impressive image makers and astute businessmen.
Richard has also won numerous awards with the SWPP for some outstanding photography.

Can our friends and family take photos at the wedding?
Yes of course, it’s your day and if you’re happy with that then we are. Your guests deserve memories too.

Have you got insurance?
We are fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity.

Why do you need two photographers to photograph our wedding?
Richard P Walton is fully competent at photographing a wedding on his own, however with today’s wedding photography expectations it’s great having an extra photographer to help catch a few more of those natural moments.

How long do you keep copies of our wedding photos?
We keep your wedding photos for two years. We suggest that if you haven’t chosen a wedding package that includes a DVD with your photos on suitable for printing and web that you contact us within the two years.

Can we view complete wedding albums that you have already done?
Yes, we believe in only showing you complete wedding albums that other couples have had from us. You can’t tell if a wedding photographer is any good by seeing their best 30 photos from a number of different weddings. We show wedding examples that previous couples have walked away with smiling.

What would you do if you were ill on the day?
It would take a lot for Richard and the rest of the Photo Graffiti team to not make it to your day. We have close friends in the industry who are as qualified as us on hand in case of an emergency. We would do our utmost to make sure your wedding gets photographed in a standard that we are happy with.
If your wedding venue is more than a two hour drive from our studio we would plan an over night stay to make sure nothing can get in the way from being at your wedding on time.
We would advise you take out wedding photography insurance for your special day incase you yourselves become ill or circumstances arise that are out of anybody’s control. Wedding insurance can be purchased at a fairly low cost and will give you peace of mind on the run up to your day.

Do you expect a meal?
Nope, we are too busy to sit and have a full meal. We bring our own food that we can eat quickly giving us more time to take photos.

Can friends and family order photos?
We offer parent albums in most of our packages, parent albums can also be purchased separately along with prints and digital files. Ordering is simply done online through a password protected website or we can accept orders over the phone or here at the studio.

How long do you stay at our wedding?
We arrive in the morning for the bridal and groom preparations and stay right through to the first dance. Evening options can be discussed on request.

What kind of wedding albums do you offer?
We tailor every wedding to your individual needs. If you like the modern story book style albums or the more traditional albums we offer them all. If you’d like to see some of our samples then please arrange a get together at the studio and we can chat through you requirements.

Can we choose the photos that you put in our album?
Yes of course, the album is your treasured memory from the day and we’d like it to be perfect for you. We design a preview album for you to get the ball rolling and you can then make any changes you’d like.

Can we have black and white and colour photos in our album?
All of our photos are available in black and white and colour, we also offer black and white with a splash of colour and sepia images. Again we use our artistic skills to decide on what we feel looks best for each image but you always have the final say.

How many photos would we get?
Loads! Expect to see anything from 300 – 400 from a fully covered wedding day. All edited and retouched. Some photographers may offer thousands, but we feel it’s the moments caught and created that count, after all we are photographers and not videographers. We like to produce beautiful wedding albums with plenty of photos that tell the story of your day forever.

Do you charge extra for retouching and editing our photos?
Nope, there are no hidden costs here at Photo Graffiti. We look at each image individually and retouch them to the level that we think is needed.

How far will you travel to photograph our wedding?
To the moon and back, distance is no problem. We can discuss overnight stays and travel expenses over a coffee at the studio.

Do you photograph groups, family and friends?
We love photographing the group shots, we make sure we get the ‘BIG’ group of everyone first and then move on to the family and friends. Again this is tailored to each individual, if you have certain requirements for group shots we’ll meet them. We can sit down beforehand and make a list of you want on the day.

Can we have our photos on a C.D?
Most of our packages come with your own copy of all your photos to keep. However if you decide to choose a package that doesn’t include this option a C.D can be purchased at an additional cost.

What if it rains?
Nothing really different happens if it rains. We still cover all of what we do only indoors and anywhere with a bit of shelter at your venue. We bring studio lighting in case we need to add a bit more light at your venue.
Richard and the team however don’t let much stop them from getting great shots on your wedding day, there’s always a way.

How long does it take for us to get our photos?
You will receive your proofs within two weeks of your wedding date, Once you have decided on your album images it will take a further two weeks to receive your finished album. If you have chosen the c.d only collection you will receive your c.d within two weeks from your wedding.
